Frequently asked questions
Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?
Not always. PDFs store positioned text, not paragraphs, so converters rebuild the layout. Simple documents convert closely; complex designs, forms and tables may shift.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
A scanned PDF contains pictures of pages, so there’s no text to convert. It needs OCR (text recognition), which this tool doesn’t do.
Just need a quick text fix?
Try the PDF Editor instead — you can change text directly in the PDF without converting it.
What happens to my file?
Your file is processed on our own server in a temporary folder. The upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes and the result after 30 minutes, or straight away when you click “Delete now”. Files are never added to anyone’s drive, used to train AI or sent to third-party services.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use the tool without signing up. The PDF tools have no task limit; the PDF Editor allows a few free downloads per day without an account. Members can use the tools as much as they like and save results to their My Object drive.
