Frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge?
Up to 20 files in one go, as long as the total stays within the upload limit shown on the page.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Remove the password first with Unlock PDF (you’ll need to know it), then merge.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
Page content, links and annotations are kept. Bookmarks from the separate files are not combined into one outline.
What happens to my file?
Your file is processed on our own server in a temporary folder. The upload is deleted as soon as processing finishes and the result after 30 minutes, or straight away when you click “Delete now”. Files are never added to anyone’s drive, used to train AI or sent to third-party services.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use the tool without signing up. The PDF tools have no task limit; the PDF Editor allows a few free downloads per day without an account. Members can use the tools as much as they like and save results to their My Object drive.
